Start with the thing that catches people out. Agra’s outbound trade — footwear, leather goods, marble inlay, brassware — is light for its size, and DTDC bills the greater of actual and volumetric weight. Volumetric is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 5000, so a 40 × 40 × 40 cm carton bills as 12.8 kg however little it holds. Before you compare tiers, get the box down to the size of what is in it. That single habit saves more than any tier choice on this lane.
With that settled, the tiers. Air is ₹415 for a kilo, ₹1,383 at 5 kg, ₹6,481 at 25 kg, and takes 3–4 days. Road is ₹484 flat to 3 kg, ₹807 at 5 kg, ₹4,036 at 25 kg, and takes 6–7 days. So the road tier is a loser at one kilo and roughly a 40% saving from five kilos up. Premium is ₹813 for the first kilo with a 3 day commitment — a modest gain over Standard’s own window, and priced accordingly.
Documents deserve a note of their own, because the Uttar Pradesh card runs two columns for them. The ordinary one is ₹242 for 500 g and ₹415 at 1 kg; the air one is ₹496 and ₹813 for the same weights, on a three-day commitment instead of a three-to-four-day window. Look at the parcel table beside it and the conclusion is plain: half a kilo of paper costs less as a document than the ₹415 a one-kilo parcel would, so unhurried paperwork belongs on the document card rather than repackaged as a parcel.
