Prayagraj earns a named row on the rate card, which is worth a rupee or two. In the middle slabs it undercuts the general Uttar Pradesh sheet — ₹778 at three kilos and ₹1,297 at five, where a state-priced UP town such as Jhansi is charged ₹830 and ₹1,383. Same zone, same DNG service, marginally better numbers.

The bigger advantage on this lane is paperwork. A standard document at ₹242 for 500 g is available here, where several of our northern lanes carry only the premium envelope. Against the premium document rate of ₹496 that is less than half, and for a transcript, an affidavit or a set of application forms it is almost always the right choice. The full ladder runs ₹242, ₹415, ₹761 and ₹1,106 across the 500 g to 3 kg slabs.

For parcels, standard is ₹415 for the first kilo and 3–4 days. Road freight is ₹484 for a 3 kg minimum and takes 6–7 days — roughly twice the wait. That trade is only worth making with weight behind it: at ten kilos road is ₹1,614 against ₹2,593, at 25 kg ₹4,034 against ₹6,483, at 50 kg ₹8,068 against ₹12,966. Under three kilos the minimum charge makes road both slower and dearer, so there is nothing to think about.

Premium runs ₹813 for a kilo and commits to 3 days, one day inside the standard window at roughly double the money. It also jumps steeply — ₹2,080 at three kilos where standard asks ₹778 — so it earns its place on urgent single-kilo consignments and very rarely on anything heavier.
