The assumption we correct most often on this lane is that Alwar rides the Delhi card because it sits on the corridor between Delhi and Jaipur. It does not. DTDC gives Alwar its own entry in zone Z4, on the DNB service, and that entry is a good deal cheaper for anything heavy than the NCR pricing people expect.
Air opens at ₹415 for the first kilogram, in hand in 3–4 days. Premium is ₹813 and commits to three days, which is simply the early edge of the Standard window. That is worth naming plainly: on this lane Premium does not outrun Standard, it removes the fourth day. Watch the Premium slabs as well — ₹813 at 1 kg becomes ₹2,080 at 3 kg, a step far sharper than the ₹415 to ₹778 the Standard column takes over the same ground.
Road freight sits at ₹484 and runs 6–7 days. Its billing starts at three kilograms, so light shipments are penalised: send one kilo by road and you pay ₹484 to wait an extra three or four days for something air would have carried for ₹415. The saving only appears once there is real weight in the box, and then it is large — ₹1,614 against ₹2,593 at 10 kg, ₹4,034 against ₹6,483 at 25 kg, and ₹8,068 against ₹12,966 at the top slab.
