Two thousand kilometres and it still clears in 2–3 days, because the Bihar card puts Chhapra in zone Z4 on DTDC's DNB service. The road column on the same card needs 7–8 days — the widest tier gap you will see on this site.
DTDC prices Chhapra from its Bihar state table rather than a town sheet, so these are the state's rates and we would rather label them honestly. Look at the transit note above each column — the columns here are five days apart.

These are the DTDC rates for Bihar (zone Z4) — the same card applies across the state. Billed weight is the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 5000). Surface and heavier air slabs carry a 3 kg minimum. Full rate card and how billing works →
Chhapra is the district headquarters of Saran, on the flat ground where the Ghaghara runs into the Ganga, and by any reasonable measure it is a long way from Bangalore. The 2–3 day Standard window is therefore better than the distance suggests, and it is the reason we almost always book this lane on the air tier.
The road column is the opposite of a bargain here. It takes 7–8 days — five days behind Standard rather than the two or three that road freight costs on our Madhya Pradesh routes. Choosing it means the parcel spends a full week in transit, so it only makes sense for something heavy that nobody is waiting on. On light parcels it is not even cheaper: the road card bills a three-kilogram floor, so one kilogram is ₹484 that way against ₹415 on Standard.
Where road does earn its keep is at the top of the table. Ten kilograms is ₹1,614 against ₹2,593, twenty-five is ₹4,036 against ₹6,481, and fifty is ₹8,072 against ₹12,962. If you are moving household goods or shop stock and the week is genuinely available, that is real money. If it is not available, pay the air rate and stop thinking about it.
Premium runs at ₹813 for a kilogram against ₹415, and buys a firm two days where Standard says two to three. On paperwork with a filing date that is a reasonable trade. Documents repeat the same two-column shape: ₹242 for 500 g on the ordinary sheet, rising to ₹1,106 at three kilograms, against ₹496 to ₹2,080 on the Premium one. Unless the filing date is tight, the ordinary column is the one to book.
Chhapra town sits at 841301, with the rest of the district running through the 8413xx and 8414xx blocks. The state card prices all of it the same.

Two to three days on Standard and two on Premium. The road column takes seven to eight, which is why we rarely recommend it.
Because it really is a road movement the length of the country, while the Standard column flies on DTDC's DNB service. The five-day difference is genuine.
₹415 on Standard, ₹813 on Premium and ₹484 by road — the last of those being both slower and dearer, because road billing starts at three kilograms.
From about ten kilograms upward, if a week is acceptable. Ten kilos is ₹1,614 against ₹2,593 and fifty is ₹8,072 against ₹12,962.
Yes, the ordinary document column: ₹242 for 500 g where Premium asks ₹496. Both ride the DNB service — what the extra buys is a firm two days instead of two to three.
Yes, and the state card means the price is unchanged. Send us the pincode so we can confirm the booking details.

Tell us the weight and whether a week in transit is acceptable. On this lane that question decides everything.
