Dehradun is the fastest of the northern lanes we quote on the Z4 card. The DNB service commits to 2–3 days for ₹415 the first kilogram, and it carries the documents as well — most lanes split paper onto a separate product, this one does not.
That speed is exactly what makes road freight a poor idea here. The road column is scheduled at 6–7 days: choosing it gives away about four days, which is a steep price for money saved. And below three kilograms it is not even cheaper — the flat ₹484 floor sits above the ₹415 air rate, so a light parcel booked that way loses on both counts.
Where road does work is heavy and patient. Fifteen kilograms is ₹2,420 by road against ₹3,890 by air, twenty-five is ₹4,034 against ₹6,483. Send winter clothing, books or fittings that way if the week is genuinely available; send anything that matters by air.
