This is the far end of the network. Jammu sits in Z5, DTDC's outermost band, on the DNG service, and even the air product takes 5–6 days. Plan the lane rather than rush it, and read the note below about documents — the cheap option is not the obvious one.

Rates for Jammu (pincode 181102), DTDC service DNG. Billed weight is the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 5000). Surface and heavier air slabs carry a 3 kg minimum. Full rate card and how billing works →
Jammu is roughly 2,700 km from our counter and it is priced accordingly. Z5 is the most distant band on the DTDC card, so the first kilo costs ₹553 — more than double what a Karnataka destination costs — and Standard commits to 5–6 days. Premium shortens that to 5 days for ₹813. Surface is an 8–9 day road haul.
Three things on this lane are counter-intuitive enough to be worth spelling out.
First, small documents are cheaper on Premium. The Standard document card for Jammu has no 500 g slab at all — it opens at 1 kg for ₹553. The Premium document service does carry 500 g, at ₹496. So a light envelope costs less on the faster product. If you are sending a single set of papers, ask for Premium; it is the rare case where speed is the cheap choice.
Second, Surface is a trap under five kilos. Its 3 kg floor of ₹674 is above Standard’s ₹553 for one kilo, and it adds three days. Only from the 5 kg slab does the road option start earning its keep — ₹1,124 against ₹1,700 — and by 25 kg the gap is close to ₹2,900. Below that, air is both faster and cheaper.
Third, Premium parcels get expensive fast. One kilo is a ₹260 premium over Standard, which is defensible. Three kilos is ₹2,080 against ₹1,020, which is rarely defensible for a single day saved. Weigh it before you commit.

On this lane, yes. The Standard document card has no 500 g row and begins at ₹553 for 1 kg, while Premium covers 500 g for ₹496.
From five kilos. Below that its three-kilo minimum of ₹674 exceeds the Standard air rate while taking three days longer.
We book to district addresses on the same card, though remote tehsils can take longer than the city figure. Share the pincode and we will tell you what to expect.
Pickup is in Bangalore, so yes — free, any weight, anywhere in the city.
By volumetric weight where it exceeds actual weight: length × width × height in cm, divided by 5000.
Send the weight across and we will tell you which of the three tiers is genuinely cheapest for it — it is not always the obvious one.
