Courier from Bangalore to Jaunpur

Most of what leaves our counter for Jaunpur is paper — court copies, land records, university files, employment documents for people working in Bangalore whose families are still in the district. The card is unusually helpful for that, because Jaunpur is priced on a city row and city rows carry two document columns instead of one.

The economy column opens at ₹242 for 500 g and runs ₹415 at 1 kg, ₹761 at 2 kg and ₹1,106 at 3 kg. The express column beside it reads ₹496, ₹813, ₹1,446 and ₹2,080. For a set of certificates with no fixed date, the first column halves the cost. For something that has to be lodged by a stated day, the second is worth its premium — but only then.

Parcels follow the same pattern of small advantages. This row prices ₹778 at 3 kg and ₹1,297 at 5 kg, a little under the Uttar Pradesh state band that neighbouring towns are quoted on. Transit is 3–4 days on Standard, three on Premium.

Two cautions. Premium climbs steeply after the first kilo — ₹813 at 1 kg becomes ₹2,080 at 3 kg, well over double, for one day saved; it is a document product on this lane far more than a parcel one. And road is a trap on light consignments: surface bills from a 3 kg floor of ₹484 and takes 6–7 days, so a one-kilo box costs less by air and arrives half a week sooner. Above ten kilos it turns properly — ₹1,614 against ₹2,593, and ₹8,068 against ₹12,966 at the 50 kg slab.
