Katihar is about as far from Bangalore as our national network goes — the far north-east of Bihar, out past Purnia towards the Bengal border — and it still runs at 2–3 days on Standard. That is the DNB air product doing its job.
The unusual feature of this card is the shape of the Premium column. It is brutally expensive in the middle: ₹2,080 at three kilograms and ₹3,348 at five, against ₹778 and ₹1,297 on Standard, which is close to two and a half times the money for at most one day saved.
