Kerala's capital is a Z2 destination on the DZB service and one of the cheapest lanes we book: ₹236 for the first kilo, 2–3 days. Documents take a different route — they run on the DSF service with a scale of their own. Seven consignments have gone this way on our DTDC account — a steady trickle rather than a busy lane, and we would rather say so than claim Kerala expertise.

Two things make this lane different from the rest of our southern card, and neither is the price.
The first is that documents leave the parcel network entirely. Parcels move on DZB; paper books on the DSF service, on a scale that opens at ₹156 and reaches ₹559 at three kilograms. There is an express document column too, at ₹403 and ₹1,268 for the same two ends of the range. For anyone posting attestation files, bank paperwork or Technopark employment documents regularly, the ordinary DSF scale is the one to remember.
The second is the shape of the Premium column. At the light end it is poor value — ₹576 for a kilo where Standard charges ₹236 and already delivers in two to three days. But it flattens sharply higher up: ₹4,063 at 15 kg and ₹10,661 at 50 kg, against Standard’s ₹2,593 and ₹8,644. At the top of the table the commitment costs about a quarter more instead of more than double. If a heavy consignment genuinely has to fly to a date, this is one of the few lanes where that is affordable.
Road freight sits three to four days out, only a day behind Standard. Above the three-kilo billing floor it saves properly — ₹1,556 at 15 kg and ₹5,186 at 50 kg — and below it does the opposite, charging ₹311 for a one-kilo box that the air tier moves for ₹236. Light and cheap should always fly here.
