The capital region takes DTDC's Andhra Pradesh card in zone Z2 on the DZB service. It is the near band, so the first kilo is ₹236 and Standard delivery runs 2–3 days — with road freight only 3–4. Short lane, small gap between tiers, and a document scale that is worth reading before you book.

The Andhra Pradesh card

Andhra Pradesh is priced as one card outside the separately listed cities, so these are the state figures as they apply to the capital region. Nothing is added at the counter and 18% GST is already inside each amount.

These are the DTDC rates for Andhra Pradesh (zone Z2) — the same card applies across the state. Billed weight is the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 5000). Surface and heavier air slabs carry a 3 kg minimum. Full rate card and how billing works →

Six hundred kilometres puts this lane in the near band, and the numbers show it. ₹236 carries the first kilo and Standard quotes two to three days on the DZB service. If your consignment is light, that is the beginning and end of the decision — nothing else on the card beats it.

Above three kilos the road column enters, and it behaves oddly on this card. The usual rule is that road saves roughly a third; here the saving swings about depending on the slab. At 3 kg it is ₹311 against ₹520, a genuine cut. At 5 kg it is ₹518 against ₹692 — only ₹174, because the Standard five-kilo slab on this card is priced unusually low. Then it opens up again: ₹1,037 against ₹1,729 at 10 kg, ₹2,594 against ₹4,323 at 25 kg, ₹5,189 against ₹8,645 at 50 kg. Ask us to check your exact weight rather than assuming road is cheaper — on this lane it sometimes barely is.

Below the three-kilo floor the road tier charges ₹311 whatever you hand over, which is more than the ₹236 air rate and a day slower. Nothing light should go that way.

Premium is the weakest column here. ₹576 for a kilo against ₹236 buys a two-day commitment on a lane where Standard already quotes two to three, and at the heavy end it becomes wildly expensive — ₹18,440 at 50 kg where Standard asks ₹8,645. We will book it if a date is contractual and will say so plainly otherwise.

Documents have two columns on the state card. The ordinary one runs ₹156 for half a kilo, ₹236 at one, ₹398 at two and ₹559 at three; the express one covers the same weights from ₹403 to ₹1,268. Worth noticing that ₹156 undercuts every parcel slab on the card, so unhurried paper is cheapest sent as paper. Only at three kilos does that invert — ₹520 as a parcel against ₹559 as a document.

What callers ask about this lane

How long does it take?

The Standard air tier quotes two to three working days. Premium commits to two. Road freight lands in three to four, which is why it is a serious option here.

What does the first kilo cost?

₹236 on Standard, ₹576 on Premium and ₹311 by road. The road figure is higher because that column bills a three-kilo minimum.

Is road freight always cheaper above 3 kg?

Cheaper, yes, but not always by much. At 5 kg it saves only ₹174. From 10 kg upward the gap widens properly and it becomes the obvious choice.

What is the document rate?

₹156 for half a kilo on the ordinary scale, up to ₹559 at three kilos. The express scale runs ₹403 to ₹1,268 for the same weights and rides the two-day tier.

Does Amaravati have its own rate row?

No. Andhra Pradesh is banded Z2 and priced as one card here, so the capital region books on the state figures shown above.

Do you charge for pickup?

No. We collect free from anywhere in Bangalore and can bring packing material with us.
