We would rather set out how this lane is priced before quoting anything. Our sheet has one Uttar Pradesh card, zone Z4, carried on DNG, and it covers every address in the state that has not been given its own line. Ballia is one of those. The price is genuine and it is what you will be charged. It was simply not worked out for Ballia in particular.
On that card, the first kilogram by air is ₹415 and reaches eastern UP in 3–4 days. Premium is ₹813 and promises three, which is the early edge of the Standard window rather than a day beyond it.
This lane deserves a word about weight, because most of what goes to Ballia from Bangalore is heavy. The Premium column stops at the 25 kg slab, ₹16,295 — there is no 50 kg express figure on this card, so a large urgent consignment has to be split or sent Standard. Standard itself runs to ₹12,962 at 50 kg, and road freight carries the same 50 kg for ₹8,072. Between those two the road tier saves nearly five thousand rupees on a single booking, at a cost of about three extra days.
The road column bills from three kilograms up, which is why it reads ₹484 whether you hand over one kilo or three. Below that floor it is the wrong choice outright — dearer than air at ₹484 against ₹415, and three days slower. From 3 kg the advantage arrives and keeps growing: ₹484 against ₹830, then ₹1,614 against ₹2,593 at ten kilos.
One thing to know before you send papers. The Uttar Pradesh card carries a Standard document scale from ₹242 for 500 g, then ₹415, ₹761 and ₹1,106, with the express scale starting at ₹496. At half a kilo the Standard document rate beats booking the same envelope as a 1 kg parcel at ₹415, so paperwork belongs on the document line here. The one weight where the parcel slab wins is three kilos: ₹830 against ₹1,106.
