Darbhanga is not priced on a row of its own. It takes DTDC's Bihar card in zone Z4, carried on the DNB service, which brings the Mithila belt within 2–3 days of our counter on Standard. The road column on that same card is a different animal — 7–8 days — so the tier you pick matters more here than the rupees do.
DTDC prices the whole of Bihar off one card, so what you see below is the state rate that applies to Darbhanga — not a figure worked out for your consignment. GST is counted inside each amount.

Two thousand kilometres of country separate our counter from north Bihar, and the air tier still puts a parcel there inside two to three working days. That is the DNB product doing what it is priced to do. Nothing about the number changes because you are sending to Darbhanga rather than Muzaffarpur or Purnea — the card covers the state, and we quote it the same way to everyone.
Where the tiers pull apart is the middle of the weight range. Five kilos costs ₹1,383 by air and ₹807 by road; fifteen kilos is ₹3,889 against ₹2,421. Those are real savings, but the road column takes seven to eight days, so you are trading the better part of a week for them. Anything a family is waiting on — a birthday, a wedding, an exam — should not go that way.
Below three kilos the road option is not merely slow, it is dearer. Its billing opens at a three-kilo minimum, so a single kilo is ₹484 by road and ₹415 on Standard. There is no version of that trade worth making.
Premium is the other place to be careful. It runs ₹813 for the first kilo against ₹415, and its commitment is two days where Standard already quotes two to three. It also stops at 25 kg — there is no Premium price for a 50 kg air consignment on this card, so heavy urgent freight has to be discussed rather than quoted.
Paperwork is where people overpay on this card without noticing. Two document columns are published, and the Standard one is about half the express: ₹242 for 500 g, ₹415 for a kilo, where express asks ₹496 and ₹813. An envelope that is not time-critical belongs on the Standard column — it costs less than the lightest parcel slab and still lands in two to three days.
