Jalgaon is billed from the Maharashtra state card — zone Z4 on the DNB service — as there is no Jalgaon-specific row on our sheet. Standard air takes 3–4 days and the road tier 5–6, so the two are closer together than on most routes we book.
DTDC's published Maharashtra rates, shown as we hold them. Jalgaon has no entry of its own on the sheet, so this is the card it is billed from.

These are the DTDC rates for Maharashtra (zone Z4) — the same card applies across the state. Billed weight is the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 5000). Surface and heavier air slabs carry a 3 kg minimum. Full rate card and how billing works →
Zones are not drawn by distance, and Jalgaon is the clearest example of it on our sheet. It is roughly a thousand kilometres from Bangalore — nearer than almost every northern town we quote — and it still sits in zone Z4, on the same Maharashtra card that covers the rest of the state. What the shorter haul does change is the road tier: 5–6 days against 3–4 by air, two days apart rather than the week you would wait for Bihar or eastern UP.
Air opens at ₹415 for the first kilogram. Premium is ₹813 and lands on day three — the early end of Standard’s own window rather than a day ahead of it, so treat the extra as the price of a fixed date, not of speed.
Road bills from three kilograms up. That gives you ₹484 whether the box weighs one kilo or three, which makes light road bookings poor value: ₹484 against ₹415 by air, for two days more in transit. Once there is weight in it the position reverses — ₹807 against ₹1,383 at 5 kg, ₹1,614 against ₹2,593 at 10 kg, ₹2,421 against ₹3,889 at 15 kg — and on a two-day penalty that is easy money saved.
What catches people out on this lane is size rather than weight. Irrigation fittings, pipe sections, packaging and farm equipment parts fill a carton without loading the scale, and billing takes whichever is greater: actual weight, or length × width × height in centimetres divided by 5000. A 40 × 40 × 40 cm box bills as 12.8 kg however light it feels. Measure the carton before you ask us for a price, or bring it to the counter and we will do both sums in front of you.

DTDC sets zones by its network, not by road distance. Jalgaon reads the Maharashtra Z4 card whatever the map says.
Four days is the safe assumption on the air tier, three if you pay for Premium, and six on road.
On volumetric weight — length × width × height in centimetres ÷ 5000 — if that comes to more than the scale weight. Pack tight and the bill drops.
From three kilograms upward, where it is cheaper at every slab and only two days slower. Below 3 kg the minimum charge makes it the worse option on both counts.
Yes, they read the same Maharashtra card. Send the pincode and we will confirm before the docket is raised.
No — free anywhere in Bangalore, at any weight, and we bring packing material with us.
