Kochi appears on the DTDC card under its older name, Cochin, in zone Z2 on the DZB service. Standard clears in 2–3 days, Surface only a day behind at 3–4, which makes this one of the easier lanes to save money on. Nineteen of our bookings have gone to Kochi so far.
These come off the Cochin line of DTDC's Z2 card, quoted against pincode 682030. Kerala's other cities — Kottayam, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram — carry the same Z2 figures, so a Kochi quote tells you what most of the state costs.

Kochi is a Z2 destination routed on DZB, and if you have priced Chennai with us the numbers will look familiar — the zone card does not distinguish between peninsular metros. The transit is the same too: 2–3 days on Standard, 2 days on Premium, 3–4 days by Surface.
A single day between the fast tier and the road tier is unusual, and it is what makes Kochi a lane where Surface deserves a serious look. At 5 kg it is ₹519 against ₹864; at 15 kg, ₹1,556 against ₹2,593. Very few people need a heavy carton one day sooner badly enough to pay two-thirds more.
The exception is small parcels. Surface will not bill below 3 kg, so a 1 kg packet is priced ₹311 by road but ₹236 on Standard. Anything light should simply go Standard.
On the heavy slabs the gap widens further still: 25 kg is ₹2,593 by road against ₹4,322 on Standard, and 50 kg is ₹5,186 against ₹8,644. If you are moving a household in stages rather than in one van, booking the cartons Surface across a couple of weeks is the cheapest way to do it.
Documents are the other end of the scale: 500 g on the AR1 rate is ₹156, and the Premium document equivalent is ₹403. For a certificate or an agreement that has to land on a stated day, that difference is small in absolute terms.
