Lucknow is a Z4 destination, which is the band DTDC uses for large cities that sit off the trunk metro network. Standard needs three to four days, Premium is scheduled at three, and Surface is a six to seven day road movement.
Look hard at that Premium number before paying for it. Doubling the spend from ₹415 to ₹813 on the first kilo buys, at best, a single day — and on a good week Standard arrives on day three anyway, at which point you have bought nothing. On the NCR lanes Premium is a genuine next-morning product; here it is not, and we would rather say so than sell it.
Surface earns its place at the heavy end instead. It bills a 3 kg floor, so ₹484 is the entry price whether you hand over 1 kg or 3 kg — under 3 kg you are simply paying more than the ₹415 air rate for a much slower service. At 10 kg the picture changes completely: ₹1,614 by road against ₹2,593 by air. Six or seven days is a long wait, but on a heavy carton that saving is real money.
For paperwork, the Standard document rates are the cheapest sensible route: ₹242 covers 500 g and ₹415 covers a full kilo of files.
