Muzaffarnagar is in Uttar Pradesh, not Bihar, and it prices off the Uttar Pradesh state card — zone Z4, service DNG. Standard air lands in 3–4 days, road in 6–7. If you meant Muzaffarpur, that is a different lane on a different card.
DTDC's published Uttar Pradesh rates, copied straight across. Muzaffarnagar has no line of its own on the sheet, so this is what it bills against.

These are the DTDC rates for Uttar Pradesh (zone Z4) — the same card applies across the state. Billed weight is the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 5000). Surface and heavier air slabs carry a 3 kg minimum. Full rate card and how billing works →
Start with the confusion, because it costs people days. Muzaffarnagar is in western Uttar Pradesh; Muzaffarpur is in Bihar. They are the better part of a thousand kilometres apart and they sit on different cards. Write the pincode on the consignment — 251xxx here, 842xxx for the Bihar city — and a wrongly addressed parcel stops being a possibility. We check it at the counter, but only the sender knows which one was meant.
Pricing is by state here. Uttar Pradesh gets a single card on our sheet — Z4, routed DNG — and Muzaffarnagar is one of the many towns that read from it rather than from a line of their own. Real money, honestly quoted; just not a figure worked out for this city.
A kilogram by air costs ₹415 and arrives in 3–4 days. The express tier is ₹813 for a three-day commitment. At light weights that is a defensible way to buy certainty. Higher up the column it stops being defensible: 15 kg on Premium is ₹9,777 against ₹3,889 on Standard, and 25 kg is ₹16,295 against ₹6,481. Two and a half times the money for one day off a four-day window is not a trade we will recommend, and we will say so when you call.
Road freight reads ₹484 and needs 6–7 days. Its billing starts at three kilograms, so anything lighter is charged as if it were 3 kg — which makes a 1 kg road booking ₹484 against ₹415 by air, slower and dearer at once. Past 3 kg it becomes the sensible default for weight: ₹1,614 against ₹2,593 at 10 kg, ₹4,036 against ₹6,481 at 25 kg, ₹8,072 against ₹12,962 at 50 kg.
For paperwork, the card prices envelopes twice over. The Standard document row begins at ₹242 for 500 g; express documents begin at ₹496. Anything without a deadline on it should go on the Standard row, which also undercuts the ₹415 you would pay to book the same paper as a 1 kg parcel.
The 251xxx band prices as one. Town or taluka, the state card does not distinguish between them.

Allow four days on the Standard air tier, three if you book Premium, and a week on road.
Rarely. At 15 kg it is ₹9,777 against ₹3,889 on Standard, and it saves at most a single day.
Road, at ₹4,036 against ₹6,481 by air, provided six to seven days is acceptable.
The road column bills from a three-kilogram base. Below that you pay ₹484 regardless, which is more than the ₹415 air rate.

Weight, pincode, and whether it can afford to go by road. That is all we need.
