Book at the HSR Layout counter, or dial 9164995001 and we will collect.
Patna is over two thousand kilometres north yet clears in 2–3 days, because the lane runs on DTDC's DNB service in zone Z4. The road tier on the same route needs 7–8 days — the widest gap between tiers on any lane we book regularly. Five consignments have gone to Patna on our DTDC account.
Quoted against pincode 800027 straight from the DTDC sheet. Look at the transit line above each column before you compare prices — on this lane the columns are five days apart, which matters more than the rupees.

Rates for Patna (pincode 800027), DTDC service DNB. Billed weight is the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 5000). Surface and heavier air slabs carry a 3 kg minimum. Full rate card and how billing works →
For a destination this far north, Patna is quick. The DNB product carries the lane at 2–3 days on Standard and two days on Premium — the same pace we get to Gujarat, a thousand kilometres closer. If your parcel matters, the air tier is doing its job here.
The surface tier is the opposite story. It needs 7–8 days, so choosing it means giving up roughly five days rather than the two or three that road freight usually costs elsewhere. Everything below three kilograms should ignore it outright: the road card starts billing at 3 kg, so one kilogram costs ₹484 that way against ₹415 on Standard. Slower and dearer is not a trade.
Above the floor it becomes an honest bulk option, best judged per kilogram rather than per consignment. At 50 kg, road works out at about ₹161 a kilo (₹8,068) against roughly ₹259 a kilo on Standard (₹12,966) — the saving is ₹4,898. At 10 kg the same comparison is ₹1,614 against ₹2,593. Heavy, patient, low-value cargo belongs there; nothing else does.
Documents are their own card on this lane, running on the DNP product: ₹242 up to 500 g and ₹415 up to a kilogram, with an express column at ₹496 and ₹813. For paperwork that has to be filed on a date, that express column is the one part of the Premium pricing on this route we will actively recommend.
The 800xxx block is covered above. Danapur, Phulwari Sharif and the 801xxx outskirts are quoted on their own rows, so check with us if the address sits outside the city.

Two to three working days on Standard, two on Premium. Road freight is seven to eight days on this lane, which is why we rarely suggest it.
Because it is a genuine long-haul road movement across the country, while the Standard tier flies on DTDC's DNB service. The five-day difference is real, not a buffer.
Standard is ₹415 and Premium ₹813. The road tier shows ₹484 — dearer despite being slower, because its billing opens at three kilograms whatever the parcel weighs.
At 50 kg the road tier is ₹8,068 against ₹12,966 on Standard, so ₹4,898. That works out near ₹161 a kilo instead of ₹259.
