Puducherry falls in Z2, the second-cheapest band on our card, routed as DZG. Three kilos costs ₹520 and five kilos costs ₹692 — barely ₹86 for each of the two extra kilos — while the step from five to ten more than doubles the fare, to ₹1,729. Anything you can consolidate into a single 3–5 kg carton is riding the best-value line on the sheet.
Road freight carries a 3 kg minimum at ₹311, which makes one kilo by surface both dearer and slower than by air. At three kilos it flips — ₹311 against ₹520. At five the gap almost closes, ₹518 against ₹692, and most customers spend the ₹174 to keep the faster service. Only from ten kilos upward does surface pull clear again: ₹1,037 where standard asks ₹1,729.
