The Kosi belt is about as far from Bangalore as our network reaches, and DTDC still bands it in zone Z4 on the DNB service, quoting 2–3 days for a Standard parcel. Saharsa carries no rate row of its own: it is priced on the Bihar state card, the same one we read for Patna or Purnea.
What follows is DTDC's Bihar card. We publish it exactly as it reaches us, without a markup and without pretending we hold a Saharsa-specific rate that the network does not print.

It is worth being clear about what a state card means, because it changes how you should read the table. DTDC does not price every Bihar town separately — the Kosi districts, the capital and the Mithila belt all sit in zone Z4 and share one set of numbers. So the rate you see for Saharsa is genuine, it is simply not exclusive. What we can promise is that we read it to you unaltered.
Transit is the part that does vary by tier, and here it varies a lot. The DNB air product quotes two to three days; the road column on the same card quotes seven to eight. For a town this far up the Kosi we would rather you assumed the longer end of both figures than the shorter, and planned backwards from the date something is actually needed.
On price, the light end is straightforward. ₹415 buys the first kilo by air and ₹830 covers three kilos. Road freight begins its billing at three kilograms whatever you hand over, which is why a one-kilo box costs ₹484 that way — more than the faster tier. Only from three kilos upward does road start earning its delay: ₹807 at 5 kg against ₹1,383, and ₹2,421 at 15 kg against ₹3,889.
Premium is priced at ₹813 for a kilo and commits to two days. Against a Standard tier that already quotes two to three, that is a narrow gain for double the money — take it when a date is fixed, skip it otherwise. Note also that the Premium column stops at 25 kg on this card.
Documents run on two scales here. The ordinary one starts at ₹242 up to 500 g and reaches ₹415 at a kilo; the express one asks ₹496 and ₹813 for the same two weights, on the two-day commitment. Certificates and bank forms that are not tied to a date belong on the ordinary scale — at half a kilo it is the cheapest thing on the card, cheaper than the lightest parcel slab.
