Udupi is an in-state destination and sits in zone Z1 — the innermost, cheapest band on the DTDC card. It runs on the DRB service and lands in 1–2 days, which is as fast as anything we book. A kilogram costs ₹196.
Quoted against pincode 576101. Documents on this lane are carried on one card only — there is no separate express document rate to Udupi, so the figures below are the whole picture.

Udupi is unusual on our rate sheet in one specific way, and it is worth knowing before you pick a tier: Premium is not faster here. The Standard tier runs 1–2 days. Premium is quoted at two days and charges ₹415 for the first kilogram against Standard’s ₹196. You would be paying more than double for a service that is, at best, no quicker and at worst a day slower.
That makes the decision on this lane refreshingly simple. Everything light and everything urgent goes Standard. There is no scenario on Bangalore → Udupi where we would suggest Premium for a parcel, and because no express document rate exists on this lane, envelopes have only one price too — ₹127 for 500 g, ₹196 for a kilogram.
The only real choice left is road freight, which takes 2–3 days. Its floor is three kilograms, so a light box actually costs more that way — ₹259 against ₹196. From 3 kg upward it turns useful but never dramatic: ₹259 instead of ₹380 at three kilos, ₹864 instead of ₹1,268 at ten. Being a Z1 destination, the air rate is already low enough that the road saving is modest. If the box is under 10 kg and you would like it tomorrow, Standard is usually the better buy.
This is a low-volume lane for us — one consignment has gone to Udupi on our DTDC account — but it is priced off the same published card as everything else, so the rate is the rate.

One to two working days on the Standard tier, which runs on DTDC's DRB service. Road freight takes two to three.
No. Premium is quoted at two days on this lane while Standard already runs one to two, and it charges ₹415 for the first kilogram against ₹196. We would talk you out of it.
₹127 up to 500 g and ₹196 up to a kilogram. There is only one document card on this route, so that is the complete answer.
Past 10 kg, mostly. Below 3 kg it costs more than Standard because of the three kilogram floor, and between 3 and 10 kg the saving is small enough that most people take the faster option.
Manipal and Malpe are inside the Udupi pincode block and use the card above. Kundapur is quoted separately — send us the pincode and we will confirm.
