Vadodara is a Z4 destination for us, booked on the DNB service, and it is one of the quicker cities in that band: 2–3 days on Standard, 2 days on Premium. The card is the same Z4 sheet that covers cities much further north, which means Vadodara buyers get a longer distance for the same money.
Because Standard already lands inside three days, the interesting comparison here is not Standard against Premium — it is Standard against Surface, and the trade is stark. Surface takes 5–6 days. That is a two-to-three day penalty, roughly double the wait, in return for a bill that falls sharply once you are past the 3 kg minimum of ₹484. A 15 kg consignment is ₹2,420 on the road against ₹3,890 by air. Read that as: about ₹1,470 for three extra days.
Per kilo, the Standard column starts expensive and improves with scale — ₹415 for the first kilo works out at ₹415 a kilo, while the 50 kg slab of ₹12,966 is about ₹259 a kilo. Surface goes further still, flattening near ₹161 a kilo at 50 kg. Small and urgent is where this lane is dearest.
