Varanasi is a Z4 destination on the DNG product, cleared in 3–4 days by air for ₹415 the first kilogram and ₹778 for three. That is the ordinary part of this lane. The interesting part is the document card.
Documents only save you money below half a kilo. The paper card, running on DNP, charges ₹242 up to 500 g, which is a genuine discount. At one kilogram it charges ₹415 — exactly what a one-kilo parcel costs. And at three kilograms it asks ₹1,106 while the parcel column asks ₹778. So a heavy bundle of files should be booked as a parcel, not as a document, and we will tell you so at the counter rather than take the larger booking.
On the tiers themselves, the air express option is thin value. It shortens the commitment from 3–4 days to 3 days flat and prices the first kilo at ₹813 against ₹415. Half a day, twice the money. There are lanes where we push Premium; this is not one of them.
Road freight goes the other way — 6–7 days, roughly double the air schedule. Its flat ₹484 up to three kilos sits above the air rate for one, so light parcels have nothing to gain. Weight is the whole argument: ten kilos is ₹1,614 by road against ₹2,593 by air, and fifty is ₹8,068 against ₹12,966. For trunks going home at the end of a term, or stock with no deadline, it is the right call.
