Courier from Bangalore to Bahrain

A small country to deliver into and an easy one to address badly. We book Bahrain-bound documents, personal parcels and trade samples into DTDC's international network from our counter in HSR Layout, and we price each one individually — no per-kilo figure is printed on this page because we hold no international card that would make such a figure true.

Addressing and clearance into Bahrain

Bahrain does not address parcels the way India does. There are no street names in most of the country — a delivery address is a building number, a road number and a block number, plus the area name, in that order. Give us all three numbers. An address that names only a district and a tower gets a courier driver phoning around, and on this route a missing block number is a far more common cause of delay than anything customs does.

Import VAT is charged at 10%, doubled from the original 5% rate in 2022, and sits on top of any duty due under the GCC tariff. Both are worked out from the value you declare, so the invoice you sign in Bengaluru determines the bill your recipient sees in Manama. Customs Affairs, which handles clearance, will ask for the recipient’s CPR number on consignments beyond an obvious personal gift — have it ready rather than discovering the requirement while the shipment waits.

We prepare the KYC and the itemised invoice with you before the box is sealed. Every article is listed with a quantity and a value we can stand behind. Understating a laptop as a “gift, ₹1,000” is the shortcut that ends in an examination, a revaluation and occasionally a return leg you pay for — and the person inconvenienced is the one waiting in Bahrain.

Who sends on this route

Typical Bangalore → Bahrain shipments

Paperwork for jobs and residency

Attested degrees, experience letters, marriage and birth certificates for family visa files. Documents are quick to book and rarely contentious — the description writes itself and there is no value to argue over.

Care parcels to relatives

Clothing, sealed snacks, festival items and small gifts to families in Manama, Muharraq and Riffa. Send us the building, road and block numbers with the order — a Bahraini address is only complete when all three are there.

Samples for Bahraini buyers

Small consignments from Bengaluru suppliers to trading and engineering firms in Bahrain. We build the itemised invoice with you and note the CPR requirement, so the shipment does not stall for a document that takes thirty seconds to collect.

FAQs

Bangalore to Bahrain — common questions

How much per kilo to Bahrain?

There is no per-kilo answer, and we would rather say so than print one. International pricing turns on the destination, the chargeable weight — actual or volumetric, whichever is higher — and the contents. Send a photo of the packed box with its dimensions and we will quote it.

How fast does it get there?

We publish no transit figure for Bahrain because we have no verified data of our own to publish. At booking we will tell you what the specific service commits to.

Who actually flies it?

The consignment is booked into DTDC's overseas network on a genuine DTDC air waybill. We are an authorised DTDC booking partner, not a carrier — that distinction is on our about page too.

Can I send attar or perfume to Bahrain?

No. Perfumes, attar, oils, gels and aerosols are refused on every route we handle. It is our own standing restriction and it holds for the Gulf as much as anywhere.

Will my family have to pay something on delivery?

They may. Bahrain charges 10% import VAT and any tariff duty against the declared value. Modest personal gifts often clear without a bill; larger or commercial consignments do not. We will not promise you a duty-free outcome we do not control.

The recipient only knows the flat and the area name. Is that enough?

Usually not. Ask them for the building, road and block numbers — that trio is how Bahrain identifies an address, and supplying it is the cheapest thing you can do to prevent a failed delivery.
