Beds, wardrobes, a fridge, a washing machine, a house full of things that will not go in a carton. This is the one service on the site with no card rate, because no two moves are the same shape — so it is surveyed first and quoted after.
Everything else on this site is a courier booking priced off DTDC’s published card. A house move is not: it needs a vehicle, a crew, and a price that reflects how much there is, how far it goes and how many stairs are involved. We survey first and quote after, and we do not give a number over the phone that we would then have to revise on the day.
A surprising number of “moves” should not be moves at all. If what you are shifting fits in cartons — clothes, books, kitchen things, files — the courier network is dramatically cheaper than any share of a truck. Twenty-five kilograms by surface is ₹2,593 to the southern states and ₹4,036 to most of India; fifty kilograms is ₹5,186 and ₹8,072. As a rough line, if it fits in boxes and totals under about 50 kg, book it as excess baggage and skip the move entirely.
A move earns its price when furniture is involved. Beds and wardrobes that need dismantling, a fridge or washing machine, a sofa that has to come down a stairwell, glass and marble that need crating, an office that has to be shut on Friday and working on Monday. None of that is a parcel, and none of it is priced by weight.
What drives the number. How much there is, once it is actually counted; the distance; whether both ends have lift access or a narrow stair; how much dismantling and reassembly is needed; how much crating the fragile items require; and whether you want declared-value cover. The survey exists to pin all of that down before anyone quotes, which is why we insist on it.

Building or society permissions and lift charges at either end, parking penalties outside our control, and anything you add after the survey. Everything found during the survey is in the number.
Basic liability is limited. For a full household, or anything with electronics, glass or artwork in it, ask for declared-value transit cover — we quote it alongside the move so you can decide with the number in front of you.
We book international shipments through DTDC's overseas network and quote each consignment individually — we hold no published international rate card and will not invent a per-kilo figure. Furniture and whitegoods generally do not travel that way; expect to ship boxed personal effects, not a household.
